Sitting Pretty, Event Chairs

One of the simplest ways to transform an event space is by changing the seating from the standard ‘wedding chairs,’ to seating that truly enhances the décor.

Some fun examples that have been catching my eye lately;

These Louis "Ghost" chairs create a perfect modern-meets-antique look and allow for endless customization with cushions, name cards - but are stunning on their own. Make sure that linens reach the floor or go all-out mod with Lucite tables and bright pops of color to really wow guests. We've moved! Please join us at: Ariel Yve Design

For a completely relaxed vineyard, orchard or farm wedding, straw bales are comfortable (especially when cushioned or top-wrapped in fabric) eco-friendly, and substantial....I love the half-round or round set up, but would also like to do a clean-lined, more modern take using two bales together to create squares, perhaps for a lounge or cocktail hour. No smoking, please!

Zephyr Tents has an amazing array of wooden benches, farm tables with turned legs, plank tables, Adirondack chairs that would be just the thing to sink into after a long night of dancing, and they even do custom wood bars!

I am also madly in love with the endless options that the Chameleon chairs from Classic Party Rentals offer - everything from Gatsby-style garden party to ruffled to a black-tie full fabric wrap or even a tall bar stool, and all with one amazing chair!

Our friends at Town and Country Rentals also now have classic Chivari chair goes Technicolor - a much-welcome addition to the classic gold/silver/black/white/fruitwood options. For an adventurous couple, mixing two or more chair colors with a patterned linen could create a whimsical "Wonderland" look. Or think of using the bright red against a green lawn with crisp whites and camel-colored accents for a polo palette.

Today it was gray and overcast, so Ariel and I were dreaming of a sunny-hued, modern look using gray/greige, citrine yellow and white - with these chairs...Plus, who doesn't love the name "Golden Phantom" for their chairs? So very James Bond!
Also pretty yet modern are the lovely, customizable Pop chairs....Clear backed, colored or patterned, they look delicious bathed in a wash of color!

So don't just rent chairs - add some personal style and a little pop! to your next wedding or event.
