Wednesday Inspiration: Ice Cream Social

Though the kids are back to school, fall doesn't officially start until September 22. That means that this coming weekend will the last for weekend of summer for the year. Rather than focusing on autumnal colors (which I have months to do), I wanted to send out our glorious summer with a bang.

I give you, the Ice Cream Social! We've moved! Please savor the rest of this post at: Ariel Yve Design
Ice cream socials are delightful for guests of all ages, and are perfectly suited for garden parties, showers and wedding weekend welcome parties. Better yet, ice cream socials are the perfect solution for couples who are tight on funds but still want all of the charm and loveliness of a traditional wedding.

Ice cream social menus, needn't be limited to just frosty treats. Other fabulous fare can included homemade chocolate chip cookies, berry pies, popcorn, cupcakes, and of course plenty of bite sized savories to offset all of the sweets. Simple and affordable, yet decadent in taste.
The time frame for an ice cream social is between 1pm and 5pm or 7pm through sunset...basically non-meal afternoon times. Since these parties tend to be shorter than your full sit down meal events, hosts and hostesses can easily serve a limited self serve bar of iced tea, sparkling lemonade, cucumber water and of course plenty of bubbly.
I hope this weeks post has inspired you to dream ahead for next summer's fabulous fetes to come.
