Showing Support

My good friend and fellow wedding planner, Sara Holley emailed me today with information on an amazing project that she's involved in.

In Sara's words:
"Brian & I are running the Rock & Roll Seattle Marathon on July 27th, 2009!!! We've moved! Please read the rest of this post at: Ariel Yve Design

We will be participating and training for the marathon as members of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.
All Team In Training members will be raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, & myeloma from taking more lives.
The LLS is a charity/health agency dedicated to CURING leukemia and its related cancers & IMPROVING the quality of life for existing patients and their families.
Crossing the finish line will be a great personal accomplishment. Running the race & raising funds to help individuals who are battling blood cancers get one step closer to a cure will be ABSOLUTELY INDESCRIBABLE.
Please support us and LLS's mission by making a donation on our site. We sincerely appreciate anything you are able to contribute.
Please also feel free to forward this information to any of your family and friends that may be interested in supporting us, as we run to save lives!"
Personal update from Sara:
"Over the course of our training, we have also become closer to the cause. Both of us had a close family friend unfortunately loose their battle to cancer. Both had struggled and made a recovery and then had a quick relapse. We, of course will be adding both of them to our honoree bracelets. We are happy to add the names of anyone you know that has been afflicted by any type of cancer. We are approaching a fundraising deadline and if you are planning to donate, we would really appreciate it before April 1, 2009."

Sara has not only been a great friend over the years, but her strength, conviction and kind heart have been a continued source of inspiration for me.

Please help Sara and her husband Brian meet their fundraising goals for finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma. Please visit http://pages.teamintraining.org/rw/rnrseatl09/sholley for donation details.

Good luck Sara and Brian!
